A PLACE TO RETURN TO
Around The Fire is an ongoing online community, a virtual 'hearth' around which to gather, practice and stay connected with us and our community of former and present retreat guests and clients throughout the year. Not only when things feel difficult, but as part of the ordinary rhythm of life. Because meaningful change rarely happens through a single experience.A retreat, therapeutic session or moment of insight can show us something new. But our bodies reorganise through experience — through having opportunities, over time, to practise different ways of responding, relating and being.vOur intention is that Around The Fire provides a place for that practice to continue. Each month offers a programme of live circles, group therapy and body-led practices, spaces to breathe together, to move. To talk, and listen. To be with yourself — and with others. To notice what happens when your experience is witnessed without needing to hide or move away from it. To be seen and heard without someone trying to fix you, analyse you or suggest you be different.Spaces to develop awareness, capacity, embodiment and self-leadership — not as abstract ideas but lived and felt. You don't need to have attended an Earth & Fire retreat to join us, all we ask for is an openness to practise, reflect and participate in community with curiosity and respect. Each month's Around The Fire pass, which will be available to purchase during the month before when we send out an email with our upcomign schedule of sessions, covers as many sessions as someone chooses to attend. You might come to everything, or only one or two things. You might step away when life is full and come back when you're ready. There is nothing to keep up with here. Your place around the fire remains here. And the cost of your pass stays the same, however many sessions you attend:€108 / £95 per month. If everyone taking part speaks German, sessions will be held mostly in German. If non-German-speaking participants join, they will be held mostly in English.
HOW WE OFFER PRACTICE
More than a moment of insight.
Our approach - the way we frame and arc our practice offerings - follows four interconnected pathways:CONTACT(developing interoception, our ability to notice internal sensations and feelings, our body's voice, in the present moment)→CAPACITY(cultivating capacity to stay present in relationship with our experience, though it may be challenging sometimes)→EMBODIMENT(new, expanded possibilities in terms of expressing our feelings, needs and innate creativity with authenticity in what we say and do)→SELF-LEADERSHIP(individuation, self-sovereignty, taking back agency over choices and the direction of our lives).
Or in the elemental language of the Tantra Yoga masters:
MOON(harnessing practice to stabilise, becoming present turning inwards)→SUN(developing capacity to be with what is present and expand energy and consciousness)→FIRE(consistency, self-trust and devotion to tending the inner willpower that keeps us moving towards wholeness)→ISHVARA PRANIDHANA(self-sovereignty, self-leadership, choosing how we meet ourselves, other people and the circumstances of our lives)
Around The Fire isn't about being told what to think, feel or do. It is about creating opportunities for ourselves to experience, explore and practise, finding little ways to express what we've learned in word and deed - out into the world and into the ordinary days, hours and minutes of our lives.
HOW WE INVITE CONNECTION
Invitational conversations, shared power, shared authentic experience.
Around The Fire is offered as a community, not simply a programme of classes. Our live gatherings create opportunities to practise alongside the same people over time — to recognise familiar faces, share experiences and develop relationships beyond a single retreat or session. We invite members to approach those relationships keeping a few principles in mind:
Invitation over obligation - participation is always a choice.
Curiosity over certainty - noticign what is, without needing to have the answer.
Connection over correction - seeking to welcome, explore and understand rather than trying to fix or 'do it right.'
Responsibility over blame - taking responsibility for our own experience while recognising our possible impact on others; honouring that there can always be more than one perspective.
You are welcome to speak, participate or explore presence and compassionate listening.
SAMPLE MONTHLY CALENDAR

Sometimes there may be three sessions per week, sometimes two. And we will swap and change sessions from time to time depending what is working well for our community. Please note, the 'BOOK' buttons are not live, this is just an example of how our calendar looks and the kinds of sessions we offer. We will email our members each new month's upcoming schedule of sessions during the previous month, so that there is enough time to check plan and buy the next month's pass. To become a member and receive these emails, it is necessary to subscribe to our mailing list. You will be able to book using live booking buttons when you receive our session schedule via email once you subscribe.
NOVEMBER AROUND THE FIRE
Mon 2 · 19:30 - 21:00
OPENING CIRCLE
A gathering to open this month around the fire. Some breath practice, perhaps guided meditation, and an opportunity to share what's most present for you.Something you are celebrating. Something you may be struggling with. A question. Or nothing in particular. There is no pressure to have something profound to share. There is enormous value just in your presence, your witnessing, and in any noticing of what happens within you when somebody else shares their experience.

MORNING PRANAYAMA
A session of breath practices drawn from the Yoga tradition of pranayama to strengthen respiratory function and cultivating breath awareness. In many ancient wisdom traditions, breath is understood as our most important source of vital energy that animates life, working through mind, heart and our capacity to act, connect and express. Modern science uses different language, but agrees: Changing how we breathe can change how we feel.We suggest sitting upright, but of course lie down if you need to.

Can you let yourself be seen without explaining or shrinking? Each circle will centre around one or two people who bring something they would like to work with, or around something the group explores together, agreed in advance.

THUR 19 · 19:30-21:00
BODY-LED THERAPY
Trauma Sensitive Yoga is a therapeutic technique that restores the connection between mind and body, re-build boundaries and cultivate self-agency.It involves being offered a series of physical shapes and movements, but rather than trying to copy what the facilitator is doing, the invitation is to notice your own internal experience – what the shapes feel like instead of what they look like - and then choosing whether to stay with what you are experiencing, to change it and do something different, or to not do it at all. No need to ask or explain. We suggest comfortable clothes and please bring any supports that may be useful.
